Supermarket POS kitting and fulfilment
A major UK brand promoting within supermarkets required delivery to store of merchandising POS ‘kits’ ready for use. The point of sale material (POS) was varied and complex, consisting of digitally printed items, lithographically printed items plus screen and even novelty items made from plastic.
Sourcing a broad range of print items created with various technologies requires print knowledgeable buyers and also excellent project management skills. Pavilion uses an e-procurement system that gives competitive, constantly benchmarked purchasing and superb project management. Purchasing is from key suppliers, whilst cost is important the integrity of the brand cannot be compromised.
Once the various items are purchased, a significant cost was the creation of store specific ‘kits’ that combine the elements required for the promotion specific project. The kits then need to be distributed to land in a co-ordinated fashion. Pavilion use internal resources for this element, controlling the fulfilment and distribution themselves.
Has the client benefited? Well after three years a new contract has been signed with more brands added to the portfolio.
